Success Story: Transforming Lives Through Love and Care – The Journey of Janeth and Her Son, Shadrack

A Mother’s Struggle

Janeth, a single mother from rural Tanzania, faced unimaginable challenges after giving birth to her son, Shadrack. At just six months old, Shadrack was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a condition Janeth knew little about. With limited access to healthcare and no support system, she struggled to provide the specialized care her son needed.

I was heartbroken and felt helpless,” Janeth recalls. “I didn’t know where to turn for help.”

Finding Hope with Mother Love Cerebral Palsy Foundation

Everything changed when Janeth heard about Mother Love Cerebral Palsy Foundation through a community outreach program. She attended one of the foundation’s medical outreach camps, where Shadrack received a proper medical assessment for the first time. The team of doctors and therapists developed a personalized physiotherapy plan for him.

A Life Transformed

Within months, Shadrack showed incredible progress—he gained better control of his movements, and his joyful laughter filled their home once again. Meanwhile, Janeth’s new sewing business provided her with a steady income, enabling her to care for her son without financial strain.

The foundation gave me more than just hope—it gave me the tools to change my life and my son’s future,” she says with a smile.

A Message of Impact

Shadrack’s story is just one of many. Mother Love Cerebral Palsy Foundation continues to empower families, provide medical care, and advocate for children with disabilities across Tanzania. With your support, more children like Shadrack can receive the care they deserve and mothers like Janeth can build brighter futures.

At the foundation’s therapy sessions, Janeth learned how to support her son’s mobility and daily needs. She also joined the foundation’s sewing and batik-making project, where she gained valuable skills to start her own small business.
