Creating Awareness, Building Inclusion: Motherlove’s University Outreach Program
As part of our ongoing commitment to Empowerment and Inclusion, Motherlove Cerebral Palsy Initiative recently held an impactful awareness campaign at a university in Tanzania. The session aimed to educate and sensitize students on Cerebral Palsy (CP) and the broader importance of disability inclusion in education, healthcare, and community support.
The event brought together a diverse group of university students who engaged in open dialogue about the challenges faced by children living with Cerebral Palsy. Through presentations, testimonies, and interactive discussions, students gained deeper insight into the condition, the stigma surrounding it, and how they can be agents of change in their communities.
A key part of the campaign was a session led by our empowerment officers and guest speakers, who emphasized the critical role of young leaders in creating a compassionate and inclusive society. Students were encouraged to use their knowledge, platforms, and future professions to advocate for children with CP and promote equity in access to services.
“This session has opened my eyes. I’ve learned that inclusion is not a favor—it’s a right. I feel empowered to raise my voice,” said one participating student.
This outreach is one of many initiatives under our Empowerment and Inclusion programs, which strive to:
Promote understanding of Cerebral Palsy in schools, colleges, and local communities.
Equip young people with knowledge and tools to advocate for inclusive development.
Foster empathy, compassion, and civic responsibility among future professionals.
We believe that awareness is the first step to change—and through continued education and community engagement, we’re shaping a more inclusive tomorrow for every child.
Join us as we continue to walk hand-in-hand with communities, building a world where no child is left behind
