At Motherlove Cerebral Palsy Initiative, we believe that every child deserves access to quality care, love, and the opportunity to thrive—no matter where they live. Our Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program brings essential therapy services directly to the homes of children with Cerebral Palsy, especially those living in underserved or hard-to-reach areas.
In this powerful moment captured during a home visit, our dedicated team of therapists and community health workers provide hands-on physiotherapy exercises to a young girl with Cerebral Palsy. With the support and presence of her grandmother and family members, the session focused on improving muscle strength, flexibility, and mobility—crucial steps in helping her gain independence and confidence.
Our approach goes beyond physical care. We also:
Educate caregivers on how to continue exercises at home safely.
Provide emotional support to families who often feel isolated or overwhelmed.
Assess household needs and connect families with other social services.
“We used to think there was nothing we could do, but now we have hope. Motherlove has shown us how to care for our child and believe in her future,” shared the grandmother.
These visits embody the core of our mission: compassion, inclusion, and empowerment. Each stretch, each touch, each encouraging word is part of a bigger journey—one that transforms not just the child, but the entire family.
With your support, we can reach more children in need. Together, we are restoring dignity, strengthening families, and building a more inclusive Tanzania.
